Maria Socorro Cox, 76, Longtime Forest Park resident
Maria Socorro Cox (Granados), 76, of Forest Park, died Dec. 11, 2008.
Cox, originally from Juarez, Mexico, lived in Forest Park for more than 55 years.
She is survived by seven children, Robert C. Cox, James Cox, Daniel Cox, Donna Napolitano, Thomas Cox, Jean Maria Cox and Michael Cox; six grandchildren, Audrey, Andrew, Robert, Ashley, Alex, and Theresa; five siblings Luz Rodriguez, Soledad Medina, Luis Vargas, Estella Nunez and Donald Cox; and several nieces and nephews.
Cox survived her husband, Robert D. Cox; and her siblings, Carlos, Cornelio, and Sanovio Granados, Carmen Hernandez and Eugene Cox.
Interment will be at Arlington Cemetery in Elmhurst.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison.
