If a listing you sent us never appears in the paper, I apologize. An omission here is seldom a matter of conscious effort not to publish a notice.
Please understand that because of cutbacks, we have one calendar editor – a very diligent Kaylie Muriello – for all nine of our weekly newspapers.
Revising how we handle the volume of events notices we get is one of our priorities. We’re taking steps to minimize omissions but we’ve yet to find the best system.
Go ahead and keep sending notices to Kaylie. For now, though, please spare her comments about misses. If you need to call, e-mail or visit about any concern with the calendar, holler at me.
I will listen. And I will work my address to your concern into our overall solution.
