Senate Assistant Majority Leader Kimberly A. Lightford (D – Maywood ) hosted an education symposium Saturday, Feb. 20 to begin a dialogue with students throughout her district regarding how government can help improve education. Students asked questions of a panel that included legislators, not-for-profit organizations and school board members. The event was held at Proviso East High School in Maywood.
