Stephen J. Cannell, an acclaimed novelist, Hollywood writer and television producer, will be in Forest Park this month promoting his latest book at Casa de Puros, an upscale cigar lounge on Madison. And it won’t be his first visit.
Cannell stopped by the cigar shop in January 2009 before heading into Chicago for business. He was introduced to the village’s most over-stated club by Bill Young, an Oak Park resident and owner of Midwest Media, who manages book signings and other events for high profile writers. Young is a member at Casa de Puros.
Fans of Cannell are invited to mingle with the author on March 15 at about noon, according to employees of Casa de Puros, 7410 Madison. His latest novel, The Pallbearers, will be out on March 16.
