The daylong party at The Park on Sunday showered Fourth of July fun there and throughout the village.
For the fireworks show that went on even with the threats of rain, the crowd enjoyed a production that volunteer spirit helped pay for. According to Village Clerk Vanessa Moritz, the village sent the park district a check for $5,931 – all in donations made for fireworks at the time this spring that residents paid for their village vehicle stickers.
