I wanted to comment on the wonderful job the police have been doing. Every day I stand on a corner and wait for my son’s school bus to drop him off from Garfield Elem. The bus shows up and we have a moment of difficulty getting him to leave his friendly driver and aide and come down the steps to me. He doesn’t walk well and likes to talk. The number of people who ignore the stop sign the bus puts out and go zooming past is disturbing. The past couple of times though, there has been an officer waiting with everyone else who pulled the offenders over. It’s really nice to see. People who ignore the stop sign endanger children and should be held accountable. I’m very glad the police force does that for us. Well done and thank you!
