“A one-day vacation without leaving town,” is this year’s Park District of Forest Park motto for its Independence Day celebrations this year. The park will be active all day on the 4th of July with games, pool activities, music, food – and of course fireworks.
The pool will open for general swimming at 10 a.m.
By 1 p.m. bingo will begin, sponsored by the Eagles Club, lasting until 7 p.m.
The Food Court will be in operation, starting at 1 p.m. for lunch with grilled food for purchase. Kiwanis will sell beverages at the beer tent.
Picnic games and inflatable children’s play structures will begin at 2 p.m.
On Stage:
Live entertainment begins by 4 p.m. with the Panda Dance Studio special 4th of July performance.
From 6 to 8 p.m. live music will be presented with the band “In Roads.”
Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
