See the picture of my car at the top of this column? No? That’s because the car isn’t there. It was stolen sometime between 7 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday. If you’ve ever had this happen to you, you know the incredible sensation of looking and not seeing, looking and not seeing. It was an oldie but goodie, nothing fancy, a 2000 Prism, dependable, thanks to Pete Collies.
The 600 block of Beloit held its annual block party last week. Only this year it was a week-end event. May Bill was the star of the show with her amazing bean casserole, pineapple cake and other delectables. Cliff Leber brought the fresh-caught fish, and all the neighbors supplied their favorite dishes. Joe Gianelli is the prize-wining Italian chef of the block who makes sure no one ever goes away hungry. May is ready for the auto show, modeling a 1926 Model T.
Congratulations to Maryrose B. Goodman of Forest Park who just graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services from Millikin University in Decatur, Ill.
Welcome to Forest Park to newcomer Trish Frumski, a Nurse Practitioner who comes to us from Oak Park. Trish is proud of her twins, Aric, a student a Northern Illinois University and Andrea a wine barista at Purdue.
