Shirley A. Haeger (nee Skow), 81, of Forest Park died January 13. She was the wife of the late Robert “Moose” Haeger, former owner and editor of the Forest Park Review.
She was the sister of Delores (Laurence Charles) Haight, Arnold Skow, Jr., and the late Beverly (Skow) Smith, mother of Allan (Linda) Haeger, Laurie Kokenes (the late George), Barbara (Scott) Popelka and Lisa (Michael Montino) Haeger, grandmother of Jeffrey (Bonnie) Haeger, Thomas (Lisa) Giers, Julie (Brandon) Bortoli, Daniel (Sarah) Giers, Marta “Marty” Popelka, Robyn “Bobbie” Popelka, and Lauren Haeger-Montino. She was great-grandmother of eight. Fond aunt and friend to many.
Visitation will take place then Friday, January 18, 3-9 p.m. at Zimmerman-Harnett Funeral Home, 7319 Madison Street, Forest Park. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers a donation is appreciated to Lexington Hospice, 1300 S Main St. Lombard, IL 60148.
