In their final days, the current Forest Park School District 91 board voted to renew the contract of Supt. Lou Cavallo and extend it to 2017.

Cavallo declined a proposed raise for the 2013-2014 school year and the board ratified that Thursday night. His base salary is $188,349. In addition, the district pays $19,542 in pension contributions for the superintendent, along with an annuity of $4,800.

The new school board will be sworn in at a special meeting Monday, May 6. By then, elected members Eric Connor, Michael O’Connor and Rafael Rosa will have been certified by the county and will take their place on the board.

District 91 Schools last day is June 4

The superintendent told the District 91 board that because the district had no snow-days this year, school would dismiss for the summer on June 4.
