Forest Park Elementary School District 91 principals and non-union administrators received a 3 percent pay raise across the board for the 2013-14 school year at the school board meeting June 13.
The salary of Superintendent Dr. Louis Cavallo will remain unchanged for next year. He earns a base salary of $188,349. In addition, the district will pay $19,542 in pension contributions for the superintendent, along with an annuity of $4,800.
Grant-White Principal Wendy Trotter and retiring Director of Student Services Rose Gronko are both retiring and gave two years’ notice. Their pay was raised by six percent as part of the district’s policy of rewarding retiring certified employees who give early notice. Trotter will earn $128,684. She retires June of 2014. Gronko will earn $56,954, prorated for half the year since her retirement date is in December, 2013. Michelle Gossett, who moves from Middle School Assistant Principal to Director of Special Education, will receive $90,000.
Assistant Superintendent of Operations Ed Brophy will earn a base salary of $126,499. James Eichmiller, director of instructional technology, will be paid $80,000.
Principal of Forest Park Middle School Karen Bukowski will earn a base salary of $120,209. New Middle School Assistant Principal Joseph Pisano will receive $65,000. In the elementary schools, Field-Stephenson Principal Tiffany Brunson will earn $115,000. Betsy Ross Principal William Milnamow will be paid $115,360 and Jamie Stauder, principal of Garfield Elementary, will receive $112,567.
Last year the board added 3 percent to salaries of all employee groups, including instructional assistants, custodians, transportation and office personnel. Teachers negotiated a 3.75 percent increase for three years with the board last year.
