School may have started, but the Forest Park Aquatic Center is going to be open during the early afternoon this week. Starting today and through the week, the pool will open at noon instead of 4 p.m. The pool closes at 8 p.m.
“We’re taking advantage of the good weather,” said Park District of Forest Park Director Larry Piekarz.
Temperatures are expected in the high 80s and 90s.
“The pool had a rough summer with cool weather, and pool pass holders didn’t get as much time as they’d like,” Piekarz said.
Weekend hours at the pool Saturday and Sunday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for open swim, 5:15 to 7:30 p.m. for adult swim and 6:30 to 8 p.m. for open swim.
