Robert L. Coleman, 65, a longtime resident of Forest Park, passed away July 7, 2014 in his home, surrounded by his family. Mr. Coleman was born in Yakima, Washington, and received his Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Washington. In 1983 he moved to Chicago from Seattle. At the time of his death, Mr. Coleman was the director of the social work department at Cook County Hospital. He was a previous part-time professor of social work at Trinity Christian College and was passionate in the field of social work, where he loved the opportunity to help people. Mr. Coleman was a longtime parishioner of St. Bernardine Catholic Church in Forest Park. He is survived by his wife Lillian, nee Ortiz, and two children, Jessica and Nathaniel Coleman all of Forest Park.
