Herman Arno Milas, age 83, of Villa Park, formerly of Lombard and Forest Park died Jan. 16 at LaGrange Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Helen (Kuk).
Herm loved photography and made his dream come true when he opened Milas Studio on Madison Street in River Forest in 1955. He was an avid bowler throughout his life and for many years played on and sponsored softball teams. Herm was very involved in the Lions Club and served as president for several years.
He was husband of Sheila, father of Martin (KrisAnn), Matthew, and Michelle (Chris) Nuzzo. He was grandfather of Calvin, Cody, Hanna, Nathan and Travis. Dear brother of Evelyn (Bill) Colman, Arlene (Richard) Hocking.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 -9 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main Street, Lombard. Herman will be lying-in-state on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, Lombard. Interment will be local.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran School or St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Food Pantry, are appreciated.
