Violet D. Brandt (nee Musser), 90, of Brookfield, died on May 15, 2015. She was born in Forest Park on March 8, 1925.
Violet Brandt is survived by her children, Karen (Aleksandar) Durdevic, Kenneth (Cindy) Brandt and Janice (Alan) Lechowicz; her grandchildren, Tania (Jason) Wendt, Lana (Sam) Nicholls, Phillip Lechowicz, Lindsay Brandt, Kathleen Lechowicz, Kristen Brandt, Kimberly Lechowicz, Erich Brandt and Matthew Brandt; her great-grandchildren, Lili Wendt, Aleks Wendt and Stirling Nicholls; and her siblings, Elizabeth Musser and Mathias Musser. She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Herman E. Brandt; and her sister, Mary (the late Gerhard) Frank.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 21, from 3 until 8 p.m. at Hitzeman Funeral Home Ltd., 9445 W. 31st Street in Brookfield. She will lie in state on May 22 from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m., at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brookfield, followed by interment at Chapel Hill Garden West.
