In spite of the spiking mercury outside, it’s beginning to look a lot like winter here at Forest Park Middle School. Ms. Surpert’s art club painted beautiful icy trees on our windows facing Beloit. Our school colors flash on a tree just inside the door and Mr. Kelly and Ms. Carrier have had the band and choir hard at work on their renditions of “Up On A Housetop” and “Winter Wonderland.”
The band and choir performed yesterday in a combined show for the Middle School. During the little more than one hour perfomance both Ms. Carrier’s choir and Ms. Williams’ dance crew performed such winter classics as “Winter Wonderland” to “White Christmas.” The songs, interesperses with phenomenal soloists and dance routines kept the kids singing along and dancing in their seats.
Mr. Kelly’s beginning band members, those students who just picked up instruments a few months ago performed both “Jingle Bells” and “Up on the Housetop” before the Jazz Band then the Concert Band took the stage.
We would like to thank Ms. Supert, Mr. Kelly, Ms. Carrier and Ms. Williams for their contributions to making the Forest Park Middle School a brighter place to be this holiday season.
