This past weekend Forest Park Cub Scouts held the annual Pinewood Derby. There were 28 Scouts competing and the boys did an outstanding job this year. Thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Forest Park for their continued support of the Cub Scouts and to Club President Steve Knysh and Mayor Calderone for joining us for the derby. We would also like to thank the Forest Park Community Center for letting us use the center for our special event this year.

In addition Boy Scout Troop 107 helped run the derby, and Keegan Brown generously took photographs of the event. All of the scouts who participated had terrific and creative cars and showed excellent sportsmanship. The award winners were:

Fastest Cars: Brandon Arnold, Bear Scout – 1st place; Tucker Hill, Tiger Scout – 2nd place; Carter Leonard, Wolf Scout – 3rd place; Most Scout Pride – Joshua Ofloy; Best Craftsmanship – Carter Leonard; Funniest Car – Locklin Bell; Kid Choice – (tie) Peyton Brown and Devin Fitzgerald; Coolest Design – Faber Shelton.

Thank you to all the community partners, friends and families who made this event possible.
