Two winning Powerball lottery tickets — one worth $100,000 sold in Oak Park and another worth $50,000 in Forest Park — have yet to be claimed, according to an Illinois Lottery press release.
The ticket, sold at Snappy Convenience, 622 W. Madison St. in Oak Park, is one of six from the recent historic Powerball lottery worth $100,000. The store receives a $1,000 check for selling the ticket if the prize is claimed.
The Forest Park ticket was sold at the 7-11 convenience store at 205 S. Harlem Ave. That store will receive a $500 bonus for selling the ticket.
Winners have one year to claim the prize, according to the Illinois Lottery.
In addition to the six $100,000 tickets sold, two $1 million winners — in Glenview and Schaumburg — were sold, and 37 winning tickets worth $50,000 were sold across the state.
The winning numbers for the $1.5 billion prize are 04-08-19-27-34-10. Winners of the million-dollar prize got the first five numbers and those winning the $100,000 prize got the first four consecutive numbers, plus the power ball, plus an extra dollar, making it a so-called “power play,” according to Illinois Lottery spokesman Steve Rossi.
