If you’re missing a diamond ring, the Forest Park police may have what you’re looking for.

Deputy Police Chief Michael Keating on Monday reported that someone had turned in a silver, diamond-encrusted wedding ring on March 4, the day of the Forest Park St. Patrick’s Day Parade, at the corner of Elgin Avenue and Madison Street.

If it’s yours, you can call Keating and pick it up at the police station, 517 Desplaines Ave.

There’s just one thing: You’ll need to know what the inscription on the wedding ring says before police will hand it over to you.

Deputy Chief Keating can be reached at 708-615-6221.
