Mother’s Day Lucheon

German Dinner and Carnival

Saturday, May 13 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church:

A German Dinner will be held this Saturday with carnival games for kids. Funds raised will help send nine youth to Germany with the International Youth Choir. Tickets are $10 adults, $6 seniors and children 4-12, age 3 and under free. To reserve tickets call 708-738-5593. Tickets may also be purchased at the door. 305 Circle Ave.

Letter Carrier Food Drive

Saturday, May 13: 

The 25th anniversary of the National Association of Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. Held each year on the second Saturday in May, the donations go to local food pantries in Forest Park, Oak Park and River Forest. Last year they collected 80 million pounds of food, which fed an estimated 64 million people.
