One hundred fans, friends and family members celebrated with owners Jef Anderson and Noel Eberline at the open house they hosted at Yearbook’s new location in Constitution Court last Thursday.
The move was occasioned by the owners’ decision to let go of the retail side of Yearbook and focus entirely on the design side of their business. The new space at 408 Thomas, which formerly housed a dry cleaner, still has the feel of the Yearbook store which had a successful six-year run. Anderson and Eberline furnished the office with a mix of antique and modern furniture.
Author and stylist Suze Solari raved about the new space writing, “Jeff & Noel have one upped themselves on this bright and lovely new office & studio — a true Yearbook aesthetic! Thrilled they stayed in the neighborhood, and excited to see what cool inspired spaces they will create next!”
In addition to the desks for the two owners, the open space has a desk for a newly hired graphic designer named Andy Madden and a desk for Jenny Shepherd who will do public relations for Yearbook, in addition to the work she does for clients in her own PR consulting and strategizing firm.
Yearbook is perhaps best known in Forest Park for creating the “See Forest Park” marketing campaign with banners displayed on Madison Street light poles. Yearbook has designed logos for 30 businesses, according to Shepherd, in just this past year alone.
Shepherd, who has worked with Anderson and Eberline in the past as a consultant, is excited about the new collaboration. “When Jef and Noel approached me about moving my office into the new studio, I jumped at the chance,” she said. “Our talents are so complementary. This is a big step for me, and after three years working on my own, I can’t wait to jump into the creative environment of the new studio.”
