A man remains hospitalized and in fair condition after being shot four times during an altercation in the Constitution Court parking lot in the 7400 block of Madison Street in the early morning hours of Oct. 21, according to Forest Park police.

Few details are being released at this time, because the incident, which took place between 2 and 3 a.m., is still being investigated. No one is in custody for the shooting at this time.

According to Deputy Police Chief Michael Keating, the shooting followed an earlier altercation between two men inside a Madison Street tavern. The altercation continued outside in the parking lot.

A friend drove the shooting victim to the hospital where he underwent surgery to remove a bullet from his body, Keating said.
