Flip Con
The Forest Park Public Library will play host its annual comic con at 1 p.m., Jan. 13 at 7555 Jackson Blvd. Expect appearances from creators Kendra Hadnott and Bret Juliano, geek-tastic offerings from Mystery Unincorporated, cosplay special guests and a comedy laser show by Chris Fair. Graphic Novel Group
Join the Forest Park Public Library at 7 p.m., Jan. 17 for its monthly Graphic Novel Group discussion about Batgirl 1: The Batgirl of Burnside by Cameron Stewart. Check out a copy of the graphic novel at the circulation desk at 7555 Jackson Blvd.
Grown Up Game Night
The Forest Park Public Library hosts an adult game night at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 16 at 7555 Jackson Blvd. Either compete against other attendees or work together on such games as Scrabble, Exploding Kittens and Flash Point. No registration required.
Mindfulness Meditation: Connecting with Self
The Forest Park Public Library hosts a mindfulness workshop with instructor June Tanoue at 7 p.m., Jan. 16 at 7555 Jackson Blvd. Learn how this practice can help you connect with your own self and others more skillfully through self-awareness and compassionate communication. Fitness Demo Days
The Park District of Forest Park will host another Fitness Demo Day for Pilates at 5:30 p.m., Jan. 10, Jan. 15 and Jan. 17 at 7501 W. Harrison St. The park district will teach Pilaxing from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Jan 15 at 7501 W. Harrison St. Yoga for Everybody at 6:30 p.m., Jan. 16 at 7501 W. Harrison St. First-timers are free.
