Easter Eggstravaganza

The Howard Mohr Community Center will host a Spring Carnival featuring the Easter bunny for children to take pictures with, a raffle and more. Tickets are $6 for children; $4 for adults. Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

Bring your flashlights and baskets, the Park District of Forest Park is hosting a late-night egg hunt at 8 p.m. on March 23 on the front lawn of the Park District, 7501 Harrison St. Special treats and prizes will be hidden in the eggs, and the lucky winner who finds the golden egg will receive an extra gift. Tickets are $5 for residents; $10 for non-residents. Appropriate for ages 9- 14. 

Navigating Managed Care: Town Hall Meeting

The Progress Center for Independent Living will host a meeting to address questions and concerns that people have regarding their personal healthcare. Speakers will focus on healthcare targeting seniors and people with disabilities that are Medicaid recipients. Attend at 2 p.m. on March 22 at the Oak Park Public Library, 834 W. Lake St. in Oak Park. 

Break the Board & Break the Block Community Fundraiser

Jang’s Yong In will host its fifth annual community fundraiser at 11 a.m. on March 24 at 7614 Madison St. Enjoy food from local restaurants, kids games, a raffle and its break the board and block contest. Raffle tickets are $2; kids games $5; sponsor a child for Break the Board and Break the Block $5; and food and drinks are $8. Civics: Understanding and Activating the Illinois State Legislator 

Jen Walling, executive director of the Illinois Environmental Council, will explain how to move legislation in Springfield and offer advice on how organizations and individuals can make their voice heard. Walling will review the process for how a bill becomes a law, testify in committee and lobby your legislator. Talk starts at 7 p.m. on March 22 at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd.
