The Proviso East Boys Track & Field team made their presence felt during last month’s Illinois High School Association (IHSA) state finals competitions.
At the Boys Track & Field state finals meet, held May 24-26 in Charleston, the Pirates came in 56th out of 78 teams.
East senior Moses Ikechukwu Biosah took fifth place in the 400-meter dash. Biosah, of Forest Park, has received at least seven college offers — complete with scholarships — thanks to his running prowess and academic achievement.
“Work hard, play hard, do well in school,” Biosah said of his ambitions in late April. “I’ll do anything to make it to the Olympics,”
