Tell Them We Are Rising Documentary Screening 

Join officials at the Forest Park Public Library for a screening of “Tell Them We Are Rising,” a documentary about the history of historically black colleges and universities in the U.S., from 7 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 28 at 7555 Jackson Blvd. Stay after for a discussion of the movie. The Forest Park chapter of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority is helping sponsor the event. 

Young Entrepreneurs Creative Careers Panel

In honor of Black History Month, the Forest Park Public Library has invited several young African-American entrepreneurs to talk about their career path, from 4 to 6 p.m. on Feb. 22 at 7555 Jackson Blvd. Students in middle and high school are invited to attend. Expect a raffle, prizes and insight on what it means to be your own boss. Register at fppl.org.

Board of Education Candidates Forum

Teen Trip – Chicago Wolves

Children age 10 to 17 are invited to a trip to a Chicago Wolves game from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Feb. 26 from the Park District of Forest Park, 7501 Harrison St. Tickets $25 residents; $30 non-residents. 

Mystery Trip 

Join the Howard Mohr Community Center for a Mystery Trip from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Feb. 27. Lunch included. Cost $75 for residents and $79 non-residents. Reservations required. Call the Howard Mohr Community Center at 708-771-7737 to sign up.
