Mystery Trip

The Howard Mohr Community Center is throwing another mystery trip for seniors from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on March 20. Lunch is included. Cost is $92 for residents, $96 for non-residents. Reservations required. Call the Howard Mohr Community Center at 708-771-7737 to sign up.

Junction Diner Storytime

Join the Forest Park Public Library at Junction Diner for lunch, stories and a takeaway craft to complete later, from 12 to 12:30 p.m. on March 15 at 7401 Madison St. Ages 3 to 5. Registration is encouraged but not required.

STEAM Fair

Join the Forest Park Public Library for their annual STEAM Fair, which has a theme this year of Weird Science! Kids of all ages and caregivers welcome. Fun runs from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on March 16 at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd.

Mystery Discussion Group

Join fellow mystery-lovers for a discussion of “Origin: A Novel” by author Robert Langdon at 2 p.m. on March 16 at Centuries & Sleuths Bookstore, 7419 Madison St.

Cultural Park Forum 

Listen to the leader of the ad hoc Cultural Park committee talk about how to protect the village’s green space and address the future of the Altenheim Property at 7 p.m. on March 18 at The Eagles Club, 446 Hannah Ave. 

Madam President: The Secret Presidency of Edith Wilson

After president Woodrow Wilson suffered a stroke in 1919, his wife Edith Wilson began to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of the executive office. Author William Hazelgrove will present a portrait of the first woman to become acting president of the United States from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on March 13 at the Forest Park Public Library, 7555 Jackson Blvd. 

Mayor, Commissioner Candidate Forums

The Forest Park Review and the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce and Development will hold a candidate forum for village commissioner and mayor candidates at 6:30 p.m. on March 21 at Forest Park Middle School, 925 Beloit Ave. Please submit any questions you would like candidates to answer to Nona Tepper, staff reporter at the Review, at ntepper@wjinc.com.
