Forest Park will be home to a Domino’s pizza franchise by the end of October. Owner Greg Fischer, who already owns and operates the Domino’s in Oak Park, is bringing a new Domino’s location to Forest Park at 7656 Madison St.

Fischer is no newcomer to Forest Park; he was born and raised in town, where he attended St. John’s and later Proviso East.

Fischer, who has owned the Oak Park location since 1995, says his existing restaurant already delivers to Forest Park and River Forest, but he can provide better and faster service to those communities with the spot on Madison Street.

He said the location, which was a laundromat for 40 years, has taken a little longer to get ready than expected, but he tentatively plans to be up and running the week before Halloween. Unlike the Oak Park location, which is set up only for delivery and take-out orders, the new Forest Park restaurant will provide dine-in opportunities with four three-person tables, furnishing seating for 12 people.

Fischer, his wife Jennifer and son Dylan are excited to bring a business to town.

“Forest Park has done such great things on Madison Street,” he said. “I’m happy to become part of the community.”
