Family fun at Grant-White's first annual fall fest on Oct. 17. The event was sponsored by District 91's Northside Parent Teacher Council.

Forest Park District 91 hosted family events at Grant-White Intermediate School and Betsy Ross School last week.

On Oct. 17, D91’s Northside Parent Teacher Council hosted its first-ever fall festival at Grant-White, where the gymnasium was filled with games and activities, including a doughnut-eating contest, pumpkin ring toss, musical pumpkins and train rides.

Manda Kamdar, president of the Northside PTC, was pleased with the turnout.

“I am completely overjoyed by how much parent participation we had through volunteers and donations,” said Kamdar. “We’ve never had this much help before.”

At Betsy Ross School, grandparents were invited to have breakfast with their grandkids on Oct. 18 at the Southside PTO’s annual Grandparents Breakfast.

“The Grandparents Breakfast is always a special event,” said Betsy Ross Principal William Milnamow. “We love to see the grandparents come to our school every year.”
