Parking pay boxes in Forest Park will go into effect on Monday, Jan. 27 according to a memo from the village.

Payment options include cash or credit/debit card at the pay box. The Passport Parking app is also available. A convenience fee will be charged for credit/debit card and payment through the app.

In the Madison Street district, referred to as zone 60130 on the parking boxes and in the Passport Parking app, pay box hours will be Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until midnight with no maximum time limit. The rate will be $1 per hour.

In the Circle Avenue district, referred to as zone 7310 on the parking boxes and in the parking Passport app, pay box hours will be Monday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to midnight with no maximum time limit. The rate will be $1 per hour.

In September 2019 the Forest Park village council voted to authorize a loan from Forest National Bank for the purchase of parking boxes for the village. At the Jan. 13 village council meeting, the council finalized rates, hours and locations for pay boxes.

The memo mentions that parking “will be strictly enforced.”
