On Easter, April 12, the Easter bunny rode through town on the back of a fire truck to put smiles on the faces of residents, kids and adults alike. A collaboration between the village and the Park District of Forest Park, it was a highly anticipated event during a time when normal social gatherings to celebrate the holiday were canceled.
“It made me happy,” said one resident. “What a great way to make us feel like the town was celebrating together even though we were physically apart.”
