Two people died in a crash in the eastbound lanes of the I-290 expressway at Desplaines Avenue on Aug. 30 at 4:20 a.m.
One of the victims is Joanne Alvarez, 27, from Aurora. The other, a male, has not yet been identified.
The Forest Park police and fire departments responded to the scene to find both subjects unresponsive.
Officers removed them from the vehicle and performed chest compressions, but neither subject showed signs of life. Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.
The matter is being further investigated by the Illinois State Police.
