Several celebrities dropped in to visit Mary Giannotti at her well-known Forest Park restaurant, Giannoti’s, located at Roosevelt and Troost (7711 Roosevelt). It was the end of March in 1975 when a string of celebrities stopped by for super and a visit with the Giannotti family, who served the celebrities. Both Barbara Eden, best known in the string role of “I Dream of Jeannie,” and Sammy Davis, Jr. were among the surprise diners that spring. Others included singer Buddy Greco, comedian Pat Henry and wrestling champions Ronald Ray.
