Pepi and Martin Flores from Forest Park are shown here receiving the Soccer Team Spirit awards from St. Joseph’s High School in 1994. Their team, the Chargers, boasted a 24-1-1 record that year and ranked as one of the top teams in the state. Officer Pepi Flores stayed close to his roots and has been nominated for several awards in his work serving Forest Park as an adult, including with the Our Town, Our Heroes program in 2011.
