A 37-year-old man died after being found “unresponsive” on a Blue Line train when it pulled into the Desplaines Avenue station on Saturday, Dec. 11.
First responders pulled the man from the train aisle to the station platform around 1:45 p.m. and attempted to render life-saving aid. The man was later transported to a lo- cal hospital, where he died.
A witness told police that when he got on the train, he saw the man “slumped over” in his seat and believed the man was in distress. Train employees called police when the witness lowered the man to the ground.
Officers recovered a clear baggie “containing residue of an off-white powdery substance” from the train.
