Interested Forest Park gardeners are invited to join the waitlist for the Forest Park Community Garden in preparation for the 2022 growing season.
The nonprofit group has operated a community garden near the intersection of Interstate 290 and Harlem Avenue for more than 10 years and offers 4- by 8-foot garden plots for $75 each. Returning gardeners will be contacted in the coming weeks to confirm their plots for 2022 and the waitlist is expected to open at the end of February to fill open slots.
The plots are tailored for apartment or condominium dwellers who don’t have access to another outdoor space. In past years, gardeners have grown vegetables, herbs, flowers and more. All participants are asked to follow organic gardening methods.
