The History Of Carole King

Carole King has the distinction of being elected to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame twice. The first was as a songwriter (with Gerry Goffin), penning such rock standards as “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow,” “One Fine Day,” “Up On The Roof” and “Loco-Motion.” The second time was as a performer, who helped usher in the singer-songwriter movement of the early ‘70s, with her million-selling album Tapestry. Abandonment Issues

Jerry Olejniczak’s book Abandoned Chicagoland deals with factories, warehouses and empty homes in the Chicago area that still stand, uninhabited. The author will present a special slide show featuring these places, along with stories, history and other relevant commentary.
