PLUCK OF THE IRISH: Madison was full of green for the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Nearly 80 groups, businesses and bands took the eastern trek past the crowded lines of parade revelers. The mix of participants brought local flavor including the Proviso East Marching Band, political floats, businesses and clubs, with bagpipers and the Medinah choppers. The festive celebration is the unofficial start to spring, a welcome sign that winter is ending.
