F.I.M. stood for Fun In Motion, a store that was dedicated to outdoor landscaping, located at 7600 W. Roosevelt Road at the Forest Park Mall in 1985. Advertising their midsummer sale, this 10-piece collection included 4 stackable mesh chairs, 4 cushions, a 42-inch table, and a 7-foot vinyl patio umbrella for $99.99. Fun In Motion stores were located throughout suburban Chicago and were known for selling outdoor furniture, pools, and Christmas decorations.
The Forest Park Historical Society will be hosting a Groovin’ Garden Walk this Saturday, July 12, with several Forest Park gardens showcased.
