Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending one of BABS Comedy Club’s grand reopening performances. The Madison Street comedy venue is open again after four months of closure so its owners could build a new bar to serve hand-mixed cocktails.
The bar is functional, but owner Emily Ramirez still wants to add some elements to better match the 1920s aesthetic she’s aiming for. But the cocktails inspired by the same era were a major crowd pleaser and brought in more revenue than weekends before BABS sold house cocktails. Read on to learn what the new cocktail lineup and bar look like!
And in other news, there may be an Andy’s Frozen Custard coming to Roosevelt Road. Forest Park’s Planning and Zoning Commission approved the custard shop’s drive thru last week, and the village council will vote on it next week. See below for Andy’s site plans.
And have a fantastic rest of your Halloweek! Trick or treating is on Saturday from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Have fun and be safe!
