West Suburban Senior Services welcomes Sturino to Forest Park
The Village of Forest Park is indeed fortunate to have names. Mr. Michael Sturino as Village Administrator.

Mr. Sturino has served as the President of the Board of Directors of West Suburban Senior Services (formerly Proviso Council on Aging) for the past three years and as a board member for several years prior to that. I have had the pleasure of working with Mike along side other members of the Board of Directors on a variety of projects, tasks and activities. He has repeatedly demonstrated the skills, insights and knowledge developed over the years as an attorney in private practice and in public service.

I join the village in welcoming Mr. Sturino to Forest Park and I welcome him to his new position and its challenges. I know he will continue to demonstrate professionalism, honesty, integrity and skills. Congratulations to the Village Commissioners and Mayor Calderone on their selection.

Heartfelt thanks
Garfield Elementary School held a very successful winter carnival on Saturday, Jan. 22. It wouldn’t have been possible without generous donations from our families, teachers and the following businesses:

Ultra Foods, Ed’s Way, Jewel. Shanahan’s, Ferrara Pan Candy, Caribou Coffee, Hobbytown USA, Lake Theatre, Ben and Jerry’s, Molly Malone’s Girlicious, Scott’s Pet Shop, Starbucks, Louie’s Grill, Head to Head Hair Salon, Painted Board Studio, Wendy’s, Barbara’s Bookstore, Centuries and Sleuths, Old School Records, Competitive Foot, PaperSource, Fitzgerald’s Fine Stationery, Val’s Halla and Harlem-Randolph Car Wash.

Thanks to everyone who trekked through the snow that day. We hope you enjoyed yourself as much as
we did!

Sincerely,
The Garfield PT
