Candidate forum was a success
Citizens United in Forest Park would like to thank everyone who contributed
to making our first Candidates Forum such a success!  Our sincere gratitude goes to Park District candidates Cathy McDermott and Marcy Wozniak for participating; Tim Condon, Cathy Ditto, and Dave Stromberg for your excellent services as panelists; District 91 and Dr. Tinder for the use of the Middle School Cafetorium; and, most of all, to the audience members who asked such interesting questions!

Thank you from the Giblin Family
The Giblin Family would like to thank everyone who participated in the Fifth Annual Jimmy Giblin Memorial Candlelight Bowl. Thanks to your support and love we were able to raise a substantial amount for the Jimmy Giblin Scholarship Fund at Immaculate Conception High School.

Your outpouring of love and support means more than we can begin to express. Keeping Jimmy’s spirit alive is so important to us, and we can’t begin to tell you how sincerely grateful we are for all of your help.

We would especially like to thank all of the vendors who so graciously donated raffle prizes. Your donations totaled more than eighty gifts to be raffled.

We also wish to thank our wonderful daughter and son-in-law, Sam and Jodie LaBarbera, Nick Tricoci, Johnny Tricoci, Frank Giglio, Bob Wells, Pat Murphy and Marilyne Aldous and all the people at Broadview Bowl. You are the backbone of this event. Without you we would have never realized such a marvelous success. And once again, we thank all of you who came out to join us and add your support. As always, our cups runneth over.
Sincerely,
Jim and Sue Giblin

Bring me back my news
Many thanks to John Rice for exposing the true nature of the “news.” (March 16). The U.S. media spends so much time on celebrities and murders that they don’t tell us what is really going on around the world”you have to tune in to the BBC for that! If all the money that has been spent on the Michael Jackson trial and extravaganza surrounding it had been spent on counseling, educating and housing the real victims of abuse in this country, we’d be living in a much better place.
