Better late than never
The Park District of Forest Park, along with the Illinois Parks and Recreation Association and the Illinois Association of Park Districts presented their Community Service Awards at the Annual Forest Park Chamber of Commerce Banquet on Jan. 22.
The REVIEW neglected to run the names of the winners of this important award and for this we apologize.
This year’s recipients demonstrated an unselfish devotion to the advancement of parks, recreation and leisure in our community and state.
For their contributions we would like to sincerely”if a little bit late”congratulate the Forest Park National Bank and Trust, Park Plaza Dodge and Maurice Sivek as the 2005 recipients of the Community Service Award.
They join past recipients, Forest Park Little League, Carl Schwebl, Forest Park Veteran’s of Foreign Ward Post 7181, Forest Park Public Schools District 91, Cindy Lyons, Lorraine Popelka, Mike Mohr, Sal Ferrara, the Village Council and the Forest Park Police and Fire Departments in their commitment to The Park.
