Writing changes, as does the person

Dear Ruth,

Thank you very much for your writing sample and note and for assisting us in our quest for more letters. Hopefully, others will also be encouraged to have their handwriting analyzed.

Handwriting changes as the person changes so it does change with age, but the changes are usually not substantial. Factors like medication, poor eye sight, arthritis, alcohol use, or emotional stress affect the writing, but usually not to the extent that it is unrecognizable.

If you meet an old friend you have not seen for many years, you know it is the same person even if they have aged, changed hair color, gained or lost weight, because their substance has not changed. Likewise, a person’s handwriting will probably remain quite similar to the way it was when they were 21 years old.

In your case, Ruth, this means you were probably a pretty nice person when you were 21, as you are now.

Your handwriting is neat, legible, connected, rightward, and quick. By quick, I mean that you write fast because that is how you think.

Thinking and writing quickly means that you have a naturalness of expression, a self-assurance, a mental agility, an overall liveliness, and energy. You are positive and optimistic, along with being ambitious and goal minded. You have the ability to rapidly adjust to new situations, and you express yourself well, both verbally and in writing.

You don’t press very hard on your pen, Ruth, and this tells me that you are sensitive, feminine, modest, and sympathetic. You are dignified, traditional, organized, orderly, dependable, and emotionally stable. You sometimes do feel the need to be secretive, self-conscious, self-analytical, inhibited, and even shy.

Your very legible script means that you are sincere, honest, conventional, and straightforward. Because you are open and honest, you expect the same from others and are disappointed when this does not happen. Your optimism and honesty might also mean that you are somewhat gullible and naive.

Your right slanting script reveals your kindness and easy going nature. You are sociable, generous, tolerant, enthusiastic, and affectionate, but you can be easily influenced, restless, and impatient.

You are obviously still the same nice person you were back when you were 20.
