Hometown pride is a powerful motivator. As is the admiration of one’s neighbors. Put the two together as the annual Pride Awards do and you have a recognition effort that has spurred investment in the village for 16 years.
This week closes out the nomination period for the annual awards, which are handed out each May by the Forest Park Chamber of Commerce and Development in partnership with the village government. So take a close look around for the homeowner or business owner who has made a significant investment in Forest Park. You can make a nomination through the chamber or the village. The deadline is March 22. Winners will be announced at the chamber’s annual meeting on May 5.
