Bus service between the north and south sides of town and Forest Park Middle School will change after the winter holiday break, Supt. Lou Cavallo said. Two buses will run in a “loop” route instead of four buses in back-and-forth routes.

The result will be that students will be required to arrive 15 minutes earlier and be on school grounds for 15 minutes before school, Cavallo previously told the school board.

Adult outdoor supervisors will monitor the students before and after school. He told the board in the October meeting that he wanted to free up school buses to transport special needs children to out-of-district programs, and avoiding hiring independent contractors.
