Forest Park’s newest celebrity is lovely young Alison Fyhrie whose latest film, “Breakup at a Wedding” got a three star review in the New York Times. Farran Smith Nehme says “It’s a wonder that anyone’s desire to get married survives the nerve wracking process of staging a big wedding…” The movie hasn’t run locally yet. Alison no longer lives in New York, she’s right here in Forest Park.

‘Tis the season of holiday bazaars, craft fairs and home-made cookies. You’re likely to see Janet Paulin at all of them. Janet is the lady surrounded by artistically created scarves, scarves and more scarves. This year Nancy Fabbrini was unable to fit her doll house creation project in among her many activities. Nancy’s doll houses are treasures and have even become heirlooms. It takes Nancy hundreds of hours to create each house since she makes the rugs, the furniture, wallpaper, paints rooms meticulously. Some years there just isn’t enough time. There is so much holiday activity around town these days I wonder if any of us will have the energy to make it to Christmas. Saint John’s craft fair will take place this Sunday, Nov. 10. Lots of extras at that one, too. And music! There is music going on everyplace these days. The Heritage Chorale will perform at Saint John Church, 305 Circle Avenue on Sunday Nov. 16 at 7:30 p.m. and Nov. 17 at 3 p.m. Maurice Boyer is director. Featured will be masterpieces all composed on French soil, Stravinsky’s “Symphony of Psalms, ” Honeggar’s “King David” and the Faure “Requiem.” This music represents Protestant, Catholic and Russian Orthodox Faiths. Tickets may be obtained at the door or by visiting www.heritagechorale.com. Prices are $20 general, $15 seniors, $10 college students. High school students and younger admitted free.
