I urge my neighbors in Austin, Oak Park and Forest Park to vote for Blake Sercye for Cook County Commissioner in the Democratic Primary Election on March 18.

Blake has the personal and professional credentials that we need to elevate the quality of life in Cook County. He is a product of our neighborhoods. Blake has deep roots in our communities. He was raised in Austin, attended St. John Lutheran Grammar School in Forest Park and graduated from Fenwick High School in Oak Park. He is an alumnus of Princeton University and holds a law degree from University of Chicago. Blake serves as treasurer for the Illinois Medical Commission and practices law with Jenner and Block.

Blake understands the impact Cook County has upon our lives and our villages. He has the passion and the ability to improve the quality of the medical, legal, recreational and criminal justice services provided by the county. This is not a cold, academic perspective for Blake. He knows up front and personal the severe negative consequences that Cook County cronyism and corruption has upon people’s lives. He pledges himself to transparency, accessibility, efficiency and effectiveness.

I have known Blake since his adolescence. He has been preparing himself for this opportunity for service for a long time. Please make your vote count. Vote for Blake.
