The Historical Society of Forest Park will hold its general membership meeting Wednesday Oct. 29 at First United Church of Christ, 1000 S. Elgin Ave. at 7:30 p.m.
All board of director seats, including the office of board president, vice president, treasurer and secretary will be up for re-election.
The meeting is open to the public, but only active members may vote for board members. Any current member who wishes to run for the board may also throw their hat in the ring at this time. All potential board members should present a 200-word essay about why they should be elected to the Historical Society board.
