Ms. Edwards’ ELL students explore culture through traditions and customs. The families of all ELL students come from different countries and most have not experienced the American tradition of carving pumpkins. After reading a history of the jack o’ lantern, students were given their own pumpkin to carve! The students will also explore Day of the Dead and Diwali traditions and comparing and contrasting what they learn.
